Use it on a phone
This is the website added to the home screen. It is not an App Store or Play Store app.
This browser has not offered an install prompt. The converter still runs in the tab. Chrome on Android shows Install only when it supports it for this visit.
Browser limits
There is no Android APK and no iPhone IPA in this project.
| Where | Conversion | Install |
|---|---|---|
| Chrome or Edge on a computer | PDF, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, and BMP that the browser can decode. | An install button appears only after the browser fires beforeinstallprompt. |
| Firefox on a computer | The same local conversion. WebP encoding depends on that Firefox version. | No automatic install prompt. Use the site in the tab. |
| Safari on a computer | The same local conversion. WebP encoding depends on that Safari version. | No install prompt from this page. |
| Chrome on Android | The same formats, through the file picker. Drag and drop is not reliable. | The install button appears only when Chrome offers beforeinstallprompt. |
| Safari on iPhone or iPad | The same WebKit decoder limits. Use Add files. A dropped file often never arrives. | Share, then Add to Home Screen. This page cannot run that step for you. |
| Chrome or Firefox on iPhone | Those browsers use WebKit, so the limits match Safari. | They cannot install a home-screen app from this page. |
